Sport-S obliterated Nemostars to become the National Club Champions at the Old Kampala Arena on Saturday.
Led by Dickens Otim, the Nsambya based team came to the party and showed they were ready to put to bed previous horror performances against the stars.
They made sure to assume an early lead by taking the first set comfortably. They looked ready for the fight Nemo started quickly with an early 3-0 lead but Sport-S turned that around and didn’t hold back. They raced to a 25-17 lead in the first set.
Nemostars took the second set by 26-24 and failed to conjure up anything serious in the third set as the errors once again crept in.
With another 17-25 third set, they didn’t deliver in the fourth set as Sport-S turned the screws to win the set 25-19 and the match to book their place at the African Club Championships.
“If you realise we play Nemo in many finals and in most of the finals. They always overtake us and are at an advantage but this time. We gave it our best and we won,” said Sport-S Captain Dickens Otim.
