The draws for the 2024 CECAFA Kagame Cup have been conducted on Wednesday in Dar-es Salaam, Tanzania.
The event was done in studios of Azam TV with 12 clubs drawn into three groups of four teams each.
Uganda’s representatives SC Villa were pitted in Group C alongside APR FC from Rwanda, Singida Blacks Stars FC of Tanzania and El Merriekh FC – Bintiu from South Sudan.
Group A has Coastal Union FC (Tanzania), Al Wadi (Sudan), JKU FC (Zanzibar) and Dekadeha FC (Somalia).
The group (B) consists of Al Hilal (Sudan), Gor Mahia (Kenya), Red Arrows FC (Zambia) and Telecom FC (Djibouti).
The top teams in each group plus the best placed team in second place qualify for the semifinals.
The tournament will be held from 9th – 21st July 2024 at Azam Complex in Chamazi and KMC Stadium in Kinondoni.
